Frances Loeb was the faculty research assistant and lab manager at GMAP. Her interest in implementing mental health treatments grew out of her undergraduate research experience focused on anxiety disorders and her research fellowship at the National Institute of Mental Health studying childhood-onset schizophrenia. Frances developed a passion for global mental health and got first-hand experience implementing education and health programs as a Peace Corps volunteer in Vanuatu. She has previously worked at Martha’s Place, a Baltimore transitional housing program for women recovering from addition and was thrilled to be contributing to substance use treatments in Baltimore again with the Peer Act!vate study, while continuing global mental health work on Project Khanya in South Africa.
