Sara Abdelwahab
Undergraduate Research Assistant

Sara Abdelwahab is an undergraduate research assistant at GMAP. She has conducted research in the FIRE Deep Brain Neurotech lab, and the Laboratory for Thinking, Reasoning, Creativity and Educational Neuroscience. She is currently working as an RA at the UMD counseling center research unit. She volunteers as a medical assistant at a local community clinic and is involved on campus with clubs such as Net Impact STEM, and Miles for Smiles. Sara is very passionate about research on mental health and its effect on students’ daily lives, as well as spreading awareness of the importance of students’ mental well-being (especially during finals season). She is very excited to be a part of the GMAP lab and is looking forward to gaining a new set of skills, and meeting new people!
