Melissa Coaxum

Melissa Coaxum is a graduate student at the University of Maryland seeking a Behavioral and Community Health MPH degree. Her research interests include reducing mental health stigma among marginalized groups and promoting mental health awareness. Melissa hopes to transition her public health background into the psychology field to further her interest and research in mental health. She is excited to work at GMAP under Dr. Jessica Bonumwzi, focusing on trauma and racial trauma in South Africa.
